India to Soon Launch a Mobile App that can Track the Count/Growth of Trees

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) India will soon launch a mobile application to maintain a count of trees and monitor their growth. An official said that the application has been developed by the geographic information system (GIS) division of the GMDA and is being tested at present. “   We are starting work on counting trees in Gurugram, India. An application has been created for this purpose also and the numbering of the trees will be done through a tender process.  This data of every tree will be uploaded on the application for further monitoring, helping us in the creation of a database.
